About #LondonCollegePA
Our aim is to provide the highest quality training and tuition for aspiring young performers and those curious to explore their talent. We are committed to giving our students the ideal preparation for the next step of their careers at sixth form level without charging expensive fees.
As a subcontracted partner, we work closely with our senior partner London South East Colleges to deliver our course which is based at our own studios in Abbey Wood. Our students have the benefit of being part of both a specialist environment in #LondonCollegePA and also a state-funded, full-size college in LSEC.
Our vocational courses are overseen by our Principal Chris Stoddart (Jersey Boys, Evita, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), Founder & Executive Principal Claire Pourret and our Ambassador & Artistic Associate Gary Watson, (Les Miserables, Jersey Boys, Cats, Mamma Mia and Matilda)
We are proud to have an exciting faculty of tutors from all corners of the industry overseen by our fantastic senior team; Head of Dance & MT Hayley Elston-Love (Princess & Costa cruises - DDI), Head of Acting Paul Monaghan (Mary Poppins, Les Miserables, Phantom), Deputy Head of Dance & MT Emilie- Louise Champ (PGCE with the Royal Academy of Dance) and Deputy Head of Acting Stephen Lloyd (Project director for Royal Academy of Music Junior Academy). Our productions are overseen by our technical team headed by Paul Taylor (lighting and sound).
#LondonCollegePA is also regularly joined by star industry guests, including Fra Fee (Hawkeye - Marvel Cabaret), Lisa Gorgin (BBC Eastenders), Sophie Isaacs (SIX, Heathers), Jade Albertsen (Hamilton) and Martha Geelan (Associate Director for Sir Trevor Nunn). Our faculty of West End and Industry tutors combined with our first-rate facilities provide the finest fully funded pre-degree training and this is what makes #LondonCollegePA such a special place to begin your career.
Please note: If you are considering progressing on to degree level training at a later stage, universities and higher education establishments all have differing entry requirements and we advise this is considered before you decide to train with us for your BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma (equivalent to 3 A-Levels).
At #LondonCollegePA we offer BTEC courses focusing on Acting, Dance and Musical Theatre Pathways. These are suited to post-GCSE students age 16+. These courses are delivered in partnership with London South East Colleges. Classes are taught at #LondonCollegePA’s multi-studio complex in South-East London where facilities include our performance space the Arch Theatre, rehearsal studios, and the Mezzanine Café.
Our Abbey Wood studios’ surrounding neighbourhood is undergoing a continuing programme of improvement from new Sainsbury's, Starbucks and Lidl close by Abbey Wood Station (overground and Elizabeth Line) just a ten minute walk from the College.
#LondonCollegePA is accessible to students from all over the south east, London and Kent, and beyond. We are 15 minutes from the A2/Blackwall Tunnel, 25 minutes from the M25/Dartford Crossing and just 30 minutes from Central London by train and car, giving our students access to West End theatre on their doorstep.
