Course Information

Live shows take place in our performance space and the opportunity to showcase your skills to agents is a priority for the course, in order to enter the industry upon graduation.

The course is based around core MT & Acting skills including acting-through-song, ensemble singing, dance (jazz, ballet, tap), audition technique, acting skills including script, improv, movement and voice, with a view to direct entry into the profession upon completion of the course.

Year 1 is dedicated to developing core skills in all aspects of dance, acting and singing. Alongside maintaining training, Year 2 focuses on key skills of audition technique and career development, and Year 3 completes your training with a rigorous industry-modelled production schedule (working with professional directors and choreographers) and graduation showcase for an industry audience.

Location & Duration

This full time 3-year professional course is based at our home site in Abbey Wood, ten minutes walk from Abbey Wood Station (Elizabeth Line). The course’s year comprises three terms of approximately 11 weeks, working full time Monday-Friday and many evenings during performance times. Productions will take place mainly in our in-house theatre.

Accommodation

LondonCollegePA does not have halls of residence or dormitories.

Therefore, students on the course will need to arrange local or commutable residency during term-time. We will do what we can to assist our students in this process, but we do not enter into actually arranging the accommodation for students.

Fees

This is a private, unaffiliated course that needs to be self-funded by students. Equivalent courses at other colleges can charge students around £18,000 per year, totalling more than £50,000 for three years training!

We can offer you access to our unrivalled professional faculty, industry connections and first class training at a level of fees that we are determined to keep competitive and affordable for all - therefore the chargeable fees are a relatively modest £7,500 for 2024-25, subject to a small annual increase (not more than 5%) for the remaining two years of the course.

If you successfully audition and receive an offer from us, and would like to accept your place, payment of the first term’s fees will secure your place on the course.

Subsequent fees are due termly in advance (weeks prior to the commencement of the term).

Auditioning

The audition fee is £35, payable at the time of application.

Audition results will be delivered by email within 14 days of your official audition date. Applicants will need to be aged 18 or over on the 19th September 2024, but you can apply and audition while under the age of 18 if necessary.

If you have a long way to travel, it may be possible to arrange auditioning by sending in video materials - if you would like to request this, please indicate by checking the appropriate box on your application form.

For the Acting & Musical Theatre Professional Course, please send us the completed application form. If you have a performing CV, you can upload this during your application.

Audition dates will always be announced on our Instagram page.

Please choose audition pieces that demonstrate your skills, level and areas of confidence. Audition requirements will be two contrasting songs, two contrasting speeches and a group dance audition.
